Stel je wilt op zoek gaan naar een geschikte plaats om te wonen voor je kind met een verstandelijke handicap, je denkt hierbij aan een voorziening of een ouderinitiatief. Hoe weet je dan waar nog vrije plaatsen zijn in de directe omgeving? STAN geeft je een aantal ideeën.
Ben je op zoek naar een voorziening die woonondersteuning biedt?
Op de website van het Vlaams Agentschap voor Personen met een Handicap vind je de VAPH-wegwijzer. Deze wegwijzer geeft de namen en adressen van erkende voorzieningen die ondersteuning aanbieden binnen de Rechtstreeks Toegankelijke Hulp.
Heb je een Persoons Volgend Budget, dan kun je terecht op de website van Zorgwijs. Hier vind je zorg op maat bij jou in de buurt. Op deze website kun je zoeken op ondersteuningsvorm, doelgroep en locatie. Vervolgens krijg je een lijst te zien met alle voorzieningen en organisaties die deze vorm van ondersteuning bieden. Wanneer je er één aanklikt, zie je meteen of er nog plaatsen beschikbaar zijn.
Er zijn ook andere initiatieven op dit gebied. Zo is tRede een regionale zorgpartner in (Oost)Vlaams-Brabant waarbinnen 14 zorgaanbieders samenwerken. Op hun website hebben ze een speciaal hoekje voor het aanbod van open plaatsen.
En Stijn vzw is de drijvende kracht achter de digitale ontmoetingsplaats IkZoekZorg.be waar mensen die op zoek zijn naar zorg en organisaties die zorg aanbieden elkaar kunnen vinden.
Wil je meer weten over open plaatsen bij ouderinitiatieven?
Op de website van GiPSo vind je zoekertjes per provincie waar (kleinschalige) woonprojecten hun open plaatsen aanbieden. Het is ook mogelijk om zelf een initiatief te starten, al dan niet samen met andere ouders. GiPSo geeft je daarin graag advies.
Andere initiatieven
Naast de voorzieningen of woonprojecten zijn er nog andere mogelijkheden. Wist je bijvoorbeeld dat Pleegzorg begeleiding aanbiedt voor volwassenen met een handicap? Je kind met een handicap kan bijvoorbeeld wonen in een gastgezin, voltijds of deeltijds. In Vlaams-Brabant en Brussel bestaan daarnaast verschillende mogelijkheden om zelfstandig te wonen onder begeleiding.
